A U.S. Marine with the Maritime Special Purpose Force (MSPF), 26th Marine Expeditionary Unit (MEU), establishes security after conducting fast rope familiarization training during a Visit, Board, Search, and Seizure (VBSS) course at Fort Eustis, Virginia, Jan. 11, 2023. Marines conducted fast rope familiarization to further advance their qualifications to conduct VBSS operations during the upcoming deployment with the 26th MEU. The VBSS course is designed to train the MSPF and supporting enablers across the Marine Air Ground Task Force (MAGTF) to conduct Maritime Interception Operations in preparation for the Amphibious Ready Group/Marine Expeditionary Unit (ARG/MEU) deployment.
