An AGARD-B model is shown in the test section of supersonic wind tunnel A in the von Kármán Gas Dynamics Facility at Arnold Air Force Base, Tennessee, headquarters of Arnold Engineering Development Complex, Dec. 13, 2022. The area leading up to the model is the 2D variable flex-wall nozzle that allows test personnel to vary the speed of the air blowing past the model. The AGARD-B is a standard model used to gather data to compare the flow in different wind tunnels and in the same tunnel at different times. Periodically testing with a standard model allows test personnel to be confident in the data they are collecting from customer models. (U.S. Air Force photo by Jill Pickett)
