PACIFIC OCEAN (NOV. 18, 2022) – U.S. Marine Corps Cpl. Alec Doty, a CH-53E flight line mechanic with Marine Medium Tiltrotor Squadron (VMM) 362 (Rein.), 13th Marine Expeditionary Unit, conducts maintenance on a CH-53E aboard amphibious transport dock USS John P. Murtha (LPD 26), Nov. 18, 2022. Forward-deployed, rapid-response, and integrated Navy and Marine Corps capabilities expand the options the Navy-Marine Corps team provides joint-force commanders. The 13th Marine Expeditionary Unit is embarked with the Makin Island Amphibious Ready Group, comprised of amphibious assault ship USS Makin Island (LHD 8) and amphibious transport docks USS Anchorage (LPD 23) and USS John P.
