U.S. Marine Corps Gunnery Sgt. Terrance Bowens, an infantry unit leader with Expeditionary Operations Training Group, I Marine Expeditionary Force, briefs unit leaders on a simulated night raid during a Raid Leaders Course at Marine Corps Base Camp Pendleton, California, Jan. 12, 2023. The course is two weeks long and is comprised of marksmanship shooting, weapon manipulation, close-quarter tactics and room clearing. EOTG trains and evaluates deploying Marine Expeditionary Units, and other designated forces, in select special individual and collective tasks, and evaluates their ability to conduct assigned mission essential tasks in order to prepare those forces to support the geographic combatant commanders.
