PACIFIC OCEAN (Nov. 19, 2022) – U.S. Navy Sailors with 13th Marine Expeditionary Unit, aboard the amphibious transport dock USS John P. Murtha (LPD 26), conduct non-lethal weapons training Nov. 19. A force in readiness, the 13th MEU trains to rapidly respond to crises in all domain environments with naval power projection. The Makin Island Amphibious Ready Group, comprised of the amphibious assault ship USS Makin Island (LHD 8) and the amphibious transport docks USS Anchorage (LPD 23) and JPM, is underway conducting integrated training operations with the 13th MEU in the U.S. 3rd Fleet during their deployment.
