The Vertical Stabilization System for the I1B1 Joint Counter-Radio Controlled Improvised Explosive Device Electronic Warfare backpack is the product of the University of Southern Florida Institute of Applied Engineering and the 6th Civil Engineer Squadron working together after being connected by the Bolt Cell at MacDill Air Force Base, Florida. The VSS is added to MacDill’s explosive ordnance disposal team’s arsenal Jan. 25, 2023.
