John Wade, Commander, Joint Task Force-Red Hill (JTF-RH), briefs regulators from the Environmental Protection Agency and Hawaii Department of Health Jan. 20, 2023 on the defueling process of the Red Hill Bulk Fuel Storage Facility. JTF-RH and Commander, Navy Region Hawaii hosted the brief in conjunction with a site visit to the facility to familiarize EPA and DOH regulators with the facility and the steps that the Department of Defense is taking to defuel and close the facility.
