PACIFIC OCEAN (NOV. 25, 2022) – U.S. Marine Corps Sgt. Gregory Subject, an artillery section chief with Battalion Landing Team 2/4, 13th Marine Expeditionary Unit, supervises a ground fighting bout during a Marine Corps Martial Arts Program belt advancement culminating event, aboard the amphibious transport dock USS John P. Murtha (LPD 26), Nov. 25. A force in readiness, the 13th MEU trains to rapidly respond to crises in all domain environments with naval power projection. The MEU is embarked with the Makin Island Amphibious Ready Group, comprised of the amphibious assault ship USS Makin Island (LHD 8) and the amphibious transport docks USS Anchorage (LPD 23) and the John P.
