JOINT BASE LEWIS-MCCHORD, WASH. - A Green Beret with the 1st Special Forces Group (Airborne) has his equipment checked by a dive supervisor during the Maritime Assessment Course at Keeler Pool on Joint Base Lewis-McChord, Wash. Jan. 27. The course attendees are instructed to don their gear within a limited amount of time while being sprayed with water. The Maritime Assessment Course is a prerequisite course that physically and mentally challenges the Green Berets and provides them with the skills needed for the rigors of the Combat Diver Qualification Course.
