U.S. Marine Corps Master Sgt. Zachariah Spitzer, the avionics chief for Marine Light Attack Helicopter Squadron (HMLA) 267, cuts a fishing net off an injured hawksbill sea turtle in Okinawa, Japan, Nov. 11, 2022. Spitzer noticed the injured animal as he was walking along the beach while beachcombing and because of his experience volunteering with animals he knew to call wildlife rescue for help.
