U.S. Marine Corps Lance Cpl. Jesse Medrano, an infantry Marine assigned to Battalion Landing Team 1/4, 31st Marine Expeditionary Unit, moves pallets of food during a replenishment at sea aboard the amphibious assault ship USS America (LHA-6), in the Philippine Sea, Feb. 3, 2022. During the RAS Marines and Sailors worked together to resupply the ship’s storage of food and supplies. The 31st MEU is operating aboard ships of USS America Amphibious Ready Group in the 7th fleet area of operations to enhance interoperability with allies and partners and serve as a ready response force to defend peace and stability in the Indo-Pacific region.
