A U.S. Air Force B-1B Lancer sits on the flightline after Col. Christopher Hawn, 307th Bomb Wing vice commander, completes his fini-flight at Dyess Air Force Base, Texas, Feb. 6, 2023. As Hawn nears his retirement, while assigned to the 307th BW, base personnel took advantage of the opportunity to celebrate his final flight. He served nearly 20 years on active duty before transitioning to the Air Force Reserve and participated in numerous contingency and combat operations, accomplishing over 4,000 flight hours and 930 combat hours in a B-1, B-757/767, F-16, T-37, T-38, T-1, TG-15 and TG-16A.
