Lauderdale, Florida observe the safety of helicopter in-flight refueling (HIFR). Boatswain’s Mate 2nd Class Anthony Rodriguez, from Tyrone, Pennsylvania, and Boatswain’s Mate 2nd Class Aaron Marshall, from Ft. Worth, Texas, signal the positioning of the helicopter as landing signalman enlisted (LSE) aboard Arleigh Burke-class guided-missile destroyer USS Howard (DDG 83). Howard is assigned to Commander, Task Force (CTF) 71/Destroyer Squadron (DESRON) 15, the Navy’s largest forward-deployed DESRON and the U.S. 7th Fleet’s principal surface force.
