Peter Roberts, commanding officer of Navy Medicine Readiness and Training Center and director of Naval Hospital Camp Pendleton, teaches a simple interrupted suture to students attending Phi Delta Epsilon International Medical Fraternity’s Leadership Institute held in Philadelphia, Feb. 11, 2023. During the institute, Navy doctors, assigned to various commands across the nation, held a suturing workshop for more than 100 pre-medical students, provided information on multiple opportunities in the Navy’s medical field, discussed a variety of scholarships offered, as well as spoke about leadership opportunities in the Navy Medical Corps.
