Alex Crase, an engineer equipment mechanic with 2nd Maintenance Battalion, Combat Logistics Regiment 27, 2nd Marine Logistics Group ground guides a Humvee shelter carrier during Maritime Pre-Positioning Force Exercise (MPFEX) 23 on Marine Corps Support Facility Blount Island, Florida, Feb. 8, 2023. MPFEX 23 is a military exercise allowing Marines and Sailors to work together offloading and processing military equipment from a single MPF ship, the USNS Bobo (AK-3008). The exercise is a rehearsal of the Marines and Sailors’ ability to conduct safe, efficient offloads while in a tactical environment to enhance the rapid and scalable deployment of naval expeditionary forces.
