F-16 fighter jets from the South Carolina Air National Guard’s 169th Fighter Wing began their move back to McEntire Joint National Guard Base February 4, 2023. The F-16s have been temporarily operating from Columbia Metropolitan Airport in West Columbia, South Carolina since April 2022 due to major runway renovations at McEntire JNGB.
