ZUSHI, Japan (February 16, 2023) - Students fold origami fireflies during Firefly Day at Ikego Elementary School onboard Commander, Fleet Activities Yokosuka's (CFAY) Ikego Housing Detachment. Ikego Elementary School, built on a firefly conservation habitat, celebrates Firefly Day annually to teach students the importance of living in balance with nature. For 75 years, CFAY has provided, maintained, and operated base facilities and services in support of the U.S. 7th Fleet's forward-deployed naval forces, tenant commands, and thousands of military and civilian personnel and their families.
