The Wasp-class amphibious assault ship USS Iwo Jima served a cake at their commemoration of the Battle of Iwo Jima, Feb.17, 2023, in Norfolk, Virginia. Dr. Nick Roland, a naval historian and U.S. Army veteran from the Naval History and Heritage command spoke to the crew in detail about the battle.
