Petty Officer 1st Class Daniel Carr, from Corpus Christi TX, provides instruction on how to use the tourniquet during Tactical Combat Casualty Care training to members of Combined Special Operations Joint Task Force-Levant in Jordan, Jan. 21, 2023. The tourniquet is said to be the most important component of TCCC. Prior to effective battlefield tourniquets, extremity hemorrhage was the most frequent cause of preventable battlefield deaths. CSOJTF-L is putting an emphasis on members staying sharp and mission ready by providing weekly refresher classes for basic combat skills. (U.S. Army photo by Staff Sgt. Dennis Glass)
