230219-N-MK318-1021 EASTERN PACIFIC OCEAN (Feb 19, 2023) Chief Quartermaster Shannon Granger, a Blue crew Sailor aboard Independence-variant littoral combat ship USS Mobile (LCS 26), plots a navigation course while on the ship's bridge, Feb. 19. Littoral Combat Ships are fast, optimally manned, mission-tailored surface combatants that operate in near-shore and open-ocean environments, winning against 21st-century coastal threats.
