Japan Air Self-Defense Force of the 1st Tactical Airlift Wing member, based at Komaki Air Base, Aichi Prefecture, navigates a C-27J to transport U.S. Air Force 119th Wing Operations Group members to Guam, during Cope North, Feb. 17, 2023. USAF, JASDF, Royal Australian Air Force and Palau Intentional Firefighters worked together at the International Airport in the Republic of Palau to employ interoperability during Cope North through agile, integrated generation of airpower from dispersed locations. Cope North enhances relations between the U.S. and our regional allies through fostering partnerships and the exchange of information by refining techniques to better integrate multinational defense capabilities.
