Aviation Machinist's Mate 3rd Class Maria Lumba from Tacoma, Wash., installs a tail shaft on an MH-60R Seahawk from the Raptors of Helicopter Maritime Strike Squadron (HSM) 71 aboard the Nimitz-class aircraft carrier USS John C. Stennis (CVN 74). The John C. Stennis strike group, consisting of USS John C. Stennis (CVN 74), Carrier Air Wing (CVW) 9, Destroyer Squadron 21 and USS Mobile Bay (CG 53) is forward deployed to U.S. 5th Fleet to strengthen regional partnerships, sustain maritime security, and support combatant commander requirements for assets in the area.
