Sailors assigned to EOD Mobile Unit FIVE transfer a patient to a United States Air Force and Royal Australian Air Force Role 1 medical tent on the island of Tinian as part of COPE NORTH 23.
The multilateral training event brings together approximately 1,000 U.S. Airmen, Marines, and Sailors alongside 1,000 combined Japan Air Self-Defense Force, Royal Australian Air Force, and French Air and Space Force service members.
Exercises like Cope North enhance interoperability among the services and highlight their ability to conduct integrated power generation from dispersed locations across the Indo-Pacific Theater, demonstrating coalition resilience and survivability in a contested environment.
