U.S. Air Force 119th Wing, MQ-9 Reaper unmanned Aircraft shows infrared image of canoe off the coast of West Fayu Island, during Search and Rescue mission in the Federated States of the Micronesia on Friday, Feb. 17, 2023. The SAR mission began on Friday when the U.S. Coast Guard, U.S. Air Force, and good Samaritans responded to a 406-beacon alert that came from a group of fisherman aboard traditional canoes. The MQ-9 Reaper crew located the fishermen within thirty minutes of responding to the call. The MQ-9 aircraft crew was available to assist in the mission due to participating in Cope North 23 that was held Feb 8-24.
