A U.S. Marine Corps pilot with Marine Attack Squadron (VMA) 223 drops BDU-45 practice bombs at Townsend Bombing Range, Georgia, Feb. 24, 2023. U.S. Marines with 2nd Marine Aircraft Wing (MAW) conducted distributed aviation operations outside of their home duty station and local area to validate logistics, sustainment, and communications requirements for command elements.
