The 2ID/RUCD Command Group Staff Ride of the Battlefield of Jipyeong-ri. 14 Feb 23, Jipyeong-ri, Gyeonggi-Do.
The Battle of Jipyeong-ri, which took place in Jipyeong-ri from February 13 to 15, 1951, is a historic battle in which 5,600 U.S. troops, including the 23rd Regiment of the U.S. 2nd Infantry Division and the assigned French Battalion, prevented 60,000 Chinese troops from 10 times more.
The Battle of Jipyeong-ri was the first battle that the U.N. forces won since the intervention of Chinese troops during the Korean War, and the U.N. forces and the South Korean military, which later recovered the situation, were able to lay the foundation for a second counterattack.
