U.S. Navy Petty Officer 3rd Class Nicholas Demos, a boatswain's mate with Waterfront Operations, Headquarters Battalion, Marine Corps Base Hawaii, launches a boat hook to snag a fuel barrier during a simulated fuel spill reaction drill, MCBH, Feb. 24, 2023. The drill consisted of a no-notice emergency call to respond to a notional fuel spill in Kaneohe Bay in which the priority was to contain and remove harmful toxins from the water.
