The 38th Commandant of the Marine Corps, Gen. David H. Berger, hosts an honors ceremony to welcome the Commandant of the Philippine Marine Corps, Charlton Sean M. Gaerlan, at Marine Barracks Washington 8th & I, Washington D.C., Feb 28, 2023. The overall purpose of the visit was to strengthen senior leader relationships between the U.S. and Philippine Marine Corps, enhance interoperability, and provide Maj. Gen. Gaerlan a better understanding of the U.S. Marine Corps' current and future combat capabilities.
