An M110 Semi-Automatic Sniper System (SASS) is staged prior to a reconnaissance and surveillance insertion during Marine Expeditionary Unit Exercise III on Marine Corps Auxiliary Landing Field Bogue, North Carolina, March 7, 2023. The M110 SASS is an anti-personnel and light material rifle that fires 7.26mm ammunition out to a maximum effective range of 800 meters.
