U.S. Marine Corps Lt. Col. Piggee enlisted in September 1993, and retired after 30 years of service. During his career, he participated in Operation Deny Flight, Provide Promise, and Joint Endeavor. His decorations include the Meritorious Service Medal, the Navy and Marine Corps Commendation Medal, the Legion of Merit Medal, and the Navy and Marine Corps Achievement Medal.
