U.S. Army Spc. Jalyn Spohn, a paratrooper assigned to the 725th Brigade Support Battalion (Airborne), 2nd Infantry Brigade Combat Team (Airborne), 11th Airborne Division, displays her father’s Naval parachutist insignia after completing her 17th jump while participating in an all-women’s airborne operation at Joint Base Elmendorf-Richardson, Alaska, March 7, 2023. Spohn, a native of Lufkin, Texas, carries her father’s gold wings from his time in the U.S. Marine Corps on every jump she participates in. The airborne operation was held in recognition of women’s history month, and marked the first all-female jump in division history. Every battalion in the 2/11 was represented in the jump, as well as members of Division staff. (U.S. Air Force photo by Alejandro Peña)
