U.S. Soldiers assigned to the Combined Joint Task
Force - Horn of Africa (CJTF-HOA) communications directorate, CJ-6, share
information with the Armed Forces of Djibouti (FAD) signal communications
section on their new high frequency (HF) radio equipment during a knowledge
exchange in Djibouti, Feb. 20 - Mar. 2, 2023. HF radios are broad, long
range radios that provide a wider communication range, whereas the handheld
radios are a shorter distance radio and work in conjunction with manpack
