Two A-10C Thunderbolt II aircraft from the @175thWing, Maryland Air National Guard, flew into Shepherd Field, Martinsburg, West Virginia, Feb. 11, for a hot refueling training mission with Airmen from the 167th Fuels Management Flight. Hot refueling is the transfer of fuel from a non-aircraft source to an aircraft having one or more engines running and is one of several types of specialized fueling operations that increase efficiency and flexibility for aircraft to conduct Agile Combat Employment operations.
