U.S. AIR FORCE ACADEMY, Colo. – Contractors continue work on the Midfield expansion project on the flightline of the U.S. Air Force Academy. The 8,100-square-foot expansion includes briefing and training rooms, flight planning and debriefing rooms, offices and a dispatch area which will increase training efficiency by bringing cadets closer to the flightline. Airmanship Programs at USAFA include soaring, parachuting and powered flight to expose cadets to the rigors and fundamentals of flying. These programs provide the foundation for the personal and professional discipline required to succeed as an Air Force aviator, a path approximately half of cadets pursue after graduation.
