NAVAL SUPPORT ACTIVITY SOUDA BAY, Greece (March 14, 2023) Sailors assigned to the Nimitz-class aircraft carrier USS George H.W. Bush (CVN 77), along with the embarked staff of Carrier Strike Group 10, play pool at Souda Bay’s Morale, Welfare and Recreation restaurant and activity center, The Argonaut, during a scheduled port visit to Souda Bay, Crete, March 14, 2023. The George H.W. Bush Carrier Strike Group is on a scheduled deployment in the U.S. Naval Forces Europe area of operations, employed by U.S. Sixth Fleet, to defend U.S., allied, and partner interests. NSA Souda Bay is an operational ashore installation which enables and supports U.S., Allied, Coalition, and Partner nation forces to preserve security and stability in the European, African, and Central Command areas of responsibility.
