Jazz double bass artist Rodney Whitaker leads the Airmen of Note, the jazz
ensemble of The United States Air Force Band, during the Jazz Heritage
Series concert in Alexandria, Virginia, on March 9, 2023. The Jazz Heritage
Series celebrates the musical legacy of the Air Force, which originated from
the big band music popularized by its alumnus, Maj. Glenn Miller. The series
has been a highlight on the Washington, D.C. metro cultural calendar since
