Marines from Concord, Calif., present the nation’s colors during a Congressional Gold Medal ceremony here Sept. 21. The ceremony was held in honor of two Montford Point Marines, Sgt. Riley A. McCray and Cpl. Lynn L. Williams, to recognize them for their service during a time of racism and segregation in the 1940s. The Marines detachment falls under Beach and Terminal Operations Company A, 4th Landing Support Battalion, 4th Marine Logistics Group.
