    III Marine Expeditionary Force   

    U.S. Marine Corp 1st Lt. Raquel Zagal, a communications officer with 7th Communication Battalion, III Marine Expeditionary Force Information Group, III MEF, test a Harris AN/PRC-150 radio during exercise Freedom Shield 23, at Pohang, Republic of Korea, March 20, 2023. During the exercise, ROK and U.S. Marines used with the Mini-Secure Communications Controller, a tactical voice bridge, allowing the combined forces to securely communicate over radio. Freedom Shield is a defense-oriented exercise designed to strengthen the ROK-U.S. Alliance, enhance our combined defense posture, and strengthen security and stability on the Korean peninsula.
