Sgt. Scott McLean, Trade Group 4 Aerial Erectors, Tactical Communication Wing, British Royal air force out of Leeming, England, uses cable ties to secure 1,500 meters of fiber optic copper cable to extend communication services into the area for British personnel at Kandahar Airfield, Afghanistan Oct. 3, 2012. He is working in a man-made underground confined space where all cables are housed. This element travels all over Afghanistan ensuring Internet and phone communications are properly installed for British personnel during deployment.
