Daughters of the American Revolution and the Sons of the American Revolution invite U.S. Air Force Lt. Col. Sean Renbarger, the 169th Operation Security Squadron commander at McEntire Joint National Guard Base, South Carolina Air National Guard, to speak during a memorial service in honor of Gen. Francis Marion at the tomb location in Pineville, S.C., Feb. 27, 2023. The 169th Fighter Wing proudly honors its namesake for being known as the "Swamp Fox" wing. Fellow South Carolinians gathered at the historic site to honor the 228th year since the death of the American Revolution War hero. Gen. Marion was nicknamed the "Swamp Fox" by his adversaries for his ability to surprise and harass British forces during America's fight for independence. The memorial service was conducted by Gen.
