U.S. Air Force Tech. Sgt. Javier Garcia, 32nd Air Refueling Squadron boom operator, prepares to refuel a KC-10 Extender at Joint Base McGuire-Dix-Lakehurst, N.J. on March 16, 2023. The 32nd ARS flew a local sortie where the refueling of another KC-10 Extender took place. The routine refueling was observed by Kenneth Katz, a former Air Force pilot turned podcaster who interviewed 32nd ARS Boom Operators on the functional aspects of their job.
