On the final day of their Field Training Exercise, NOREX 44 members made the treacherous trek back down the mountain near Haltdalen, Norway, On Feb. 16, 2017. Despite the relative difficulty of moving downhill on cross country skis, Soldiers and Airmen of the Minnesota National Guard – with the help of their Norwegian Home Guard counterparts – safely descended the mountain to move back to garrison for warm showers and a change of clothes.
