Army Col. Frank Steinbugl, Defense Contract Management Agency Detroit commander, presents Mack Smay with a DCMA Detroit coin for his family’s three-generation span of stewardship with the agency. Smay is a retired DCMA property administrator with 31 years of federal service, 27 years civil service and four years of military service with the Navy during the Korean War. His daughter, Carrie Zunk, a DCMA Detroit administrative contracting officer, just completed 30 years of federal government service. Smay’s granddaughter, Sara Zunk, recently joined the agency as part of the Keystone Intern Program.
