The Surface Warfare Engineering Facility at Naval Surface Warfare Center, Port Hueneme Division is one of the few places in the world where the U.S. Navy can evaluate the performance of its ships’ combat systems in a controlled environment without impact to ships and sailors at sea. More recently, the facility has become home to a Live Virtual Constructive training effort using the Navy Continuous Training Environment node, enabling the warfighter to train from anywhere in the world within a large number of virtual and realistic threat situations.
