COL. Brian Jacobs, USAG FT Hamilton Commander, along with Command Sgt. Maj. Eva Commons and Lisa Sheehan, Child, and Youth Outreach Director for Ft Hamilton, met Mr. Kevin Moran, New York City Department of Education, Chief of School Operations, Office of Pupil Transpiration and Mr. John Benson, Deputy Senior Executive Director, at Fort Hamilton Garrison Headquarters on March 22, 2023.
The visit was an opportunity for Mr. Moran and Mr. Benson to learn more about the NYC school busing issues the families living at Fort Hamilton encounter, and discuss ways that the NYC Department of Education, Office of Pupil Transportation can enhance services to the Fort Hamilton community. COL Jacobs thanked Mr. Benson and Mr. Moran for their continued support towards the Garrison, and their efforts in helping to improve the commute to school for the Garrison’s children.
