Soldiers with the Armenian Armed Forces Peacekeeping Brigade received certification as a NATO partner following an exercise in the Republic of Armenia Sept. 15-18, 2015. The brigade earned the certification by passing the second-level evaluation of the Operational Capabilities Concept of NATO's Partnership for Peace program. The certification solidifies Armenia's capabilities to support NATO peacekeeping operations, culminating years of preparation with assistance and guidance from the Kansas National Guard through the National Guard Bureau's State Partnership Program.
