Combat engineers from Company A, 2nd Brigade Special Troops Battalion, 2nd Brigade Combat Team, 101st Airborne Division (Air Assault), breach a locked entrance by detonating a silhouette charge blowing the door apart with an intense explosion, during the division's Sapper Stakes Competition, Oct. 23, held at Fort Campbell's Demolition Range 39. The Sapper Stakes is a two-day competition which tests the Screaming Eagle combat engineers in physical conditioning, basic Soldiering skills and of course their combat engineer knowledge.
