The State of Arkansas honored and recognized the service and sacrifice of our Vietnam War veterans and their families in a wreath-laying ceremony at the Arkansas Vietnam Veterans Memorial on the state capitol grounds, March 29, 2023.
Maj. Gen. Jonathan M. Stubbs, Adjutant General of the Arkansas National Guard, and retired Maj. Gen. Kendall Penn, Secretary, Arkansas Department of Veteran’s Affairs, placed the wreath at the memorial as part of the commemoration of the 50th Anniversary of the Vietnam War.
The last U.S. combat troops departed Vietnam, March 29, 1973.
