Pfc. Dylan Pickard, a heavy machine gunner with Combined Anti-Armor Team 1, Battalion Landing Team 1/4, 13th Marine Expeditionary Unit and Merced Calif., native, shows his mom Terri, how to operate a MK-19 during a static display tour near the USS Hornet (CVS-12),Oct. 07, 2012. During the 2012 San Francisco Fleet Week, Pickard helped provide security for the Alameda static displays and lived aboard the USS Hornet. From Oct. 3-8, Marines and Sailors of the 13th MEU, I Marine Expeditionary Brigade, participated in numerous community outreach events, including the Italian Heritage Day parade, urban search and rescue demonstration, park restoration projects and hospital visits.
