Side scan image of a merchant vessel sunk during WWII by Japanese Forces. Found in Dili Harbor, Timor-leste during a side scan search by Underwater Construction Team Two (UCT TWO) during a deployment stop in October, 2012. UCT 2 provided side scan data in Dili Harbor to Timor-leste's Maritime Security Force while looking for hazards. Seabees from Underwater Construction Team Two (UCT TWO) were in Timor Leste during a 6 month deployment across the Pacific that will take them from Kauai to Japan to the south Pacific and Naval Region Northwest. UCT TWO provides responsive inshore and ocean underwater construction, inspection, repair and maintenance to ocean facilities for Navy, Marine Corps and Joint Forces engaged in military operations.
